A Management Committee meeting was held on Monday 23rd March, this is another newsletter to keep all Federation members informed the decisions taken by the Committee.
I am pleased to announce the position of Relief Driver/Convoyer has now been filled. The new driver was appointed by the Committee at the meeting on the 23rd. He has all the required qualifications for driving the Transporter and will be shown what is required of the Convoyer before the start of the season by our regular Driver/Convoyer.
The loft locations of five new Federation members has been taken with both a Benzing GPS device and our own Garmin GPS device. The reading from both systems was sent to the SHU and distances have been received from both sets of readings. There is little or no difference between the two distances and our SHU delegate, Mr Swanston, was informed by a representative of the SHU that the reading from our Garmin device would be acceptable. Mr Swanston requested written conformation from the SHU but this has not yet been received.
With the 2015 racing season almost upon us I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very successful season and thank everyone for their continued support.
