The Solway Federation of Racing Pigeon Societies

The Solway Federation of Racing Pigeon Societies is a none profit-making organisation formed in 1928 to promote the traditional hobby of racing pigeons. The Federation consists of thirteen affiliated clubs situated throughout Dumfries and Galloway in the South West of Scotland. They stretch from Langholm in the East to Kirkcudbright in the West. We currently have one hundred and seventy members of all ages from eight to eighty.

Next Race

The old bird race from Appleby will be race marked and clock set at club level on the 20th of April 2012. The race will take place on the 21st April. Appleby is a town in Cumbria. It is situated within a loop of the River Eden. Birds will be liberated from Fair Hill.
