The Race Controller reports that the weather forecasts no better for Sunday 1st September with heavy showers, north west winds forecast.
There is no driver available to take the birds to Lymm for Monday but a driver is available to take the birds for a race from Shap. The decision has been taken to race mark on Sunday night and have a race from Shap on Monday 2nd September.
It is appropriated that this will not suit everybody but the officials are trying to make the best of an impossible situation.
The Young Bird Open Race will now be flown from Lymm on Saturday 7th September.
