The President has asked that I let our members know that we have been approached by East Cumberland Federation for convoying facilities to Stafford on 29th August. After discussions with other officials the President has decided to take the Cumberland Federation which will mean some clubs will be required to reload empty panniers on the transporter to accommodate the additional birds. Sorry for any inconvenience but it is for the benefit of the the Federation.

Could all members please note that due to the birds having to be brought back from Appleton on Sunday 16th August, the next Federation race on Saturday the 22nd August will be from Appleton in place of Stafford. The Young Bird Open race will be from Stafford on 29th August as planned

The Solway Federation convoy of 466 birds is currently being brought back to try for a liberation at Appleby.  Failing that, they will be returned back to their clubs.

Mr Ewan Hind of Lockerbie Racing Pigeon Club has telephoned to say that he will be traveling to Bathgate on Wednesday the 12th August, while in the area he is calling in at the SHU Stray Centre to leave some Scottish Strays. He is also going to collect any Solway Strays that are in the Stray Centre. Mr Hind has generously offered to take any other Scottish Strays that Federation members may have provided they are taken to him before 10-00am Wednesday morning. Any member wishing to take up this offer please make contact with Mr Hind.
