The Scottish Homing Union at their Annual General Meeting decided to accept loft locations obtained from a G.P.S Device. The Federation have purchased a hand-held G.P.S navigator to assist Club Officials to pin point any of their club members loft locations without the need for Ordinance Survey maps.The device is to be held by the Federation Secretary and will be loaned out to any affiliated club on request. Any Club requiring the use of the G.P.S. device to contact the Federation Secretary.

The Annual General Meeting of the Solway Federation will be held on Sunday 20th November in the Town Hall Lockerbie at 1-00pm. Any member wishing to submit a Notice of Motion must do so in writing to be received by the Secretary on or before 23rd October. Each Notice of Motion to be dated and signed by both the proposer and seconder.

The Solway Federation convoy of 237 birds will be liberated at 11:45 at Ripon in a very light south wind. For east section members the clocks will checked at Springfield Homing Club at 6:00pm West section members the clocks will be checked at Dumfries Flying Club.
